It’s all a matter of perspective

It’s all a matter of perspective. We all have something to be thankful for.

“I am thankful for the taxes I pay each year because that means I have a job.

I am thankful for the mess I have to clean up after the party because that means friends have surrounded me.

I am thankful for the lawn that needs mowing, the windows that need cleaning, and the gutters that need repair because they mean I have a home.

I am thankful for sore muscles and for weariness at the end of the day because it all means I was able to work hard.

I am thankful for the lady behind me in church who sings off-key because that means I can hear.

And I am thankful for the alarm that goes off early in the morning because that means I’m still alive.”

“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:18)
